Hello Everyone,
I do hope that every one had a really nice weekend. It was the NFL draft and as usually my husband was glued to the TV the entire weekend with his Friend Tom while I and my Friend Misty Scrapbooked all weekend.
we took a trip to Joanne's and discovered some new scrapbooking techniques that I will be able to incorporate into my business, like for example I had never done embossing before with embossing powder and wow that comes out so beautiful and we also discovered Perfect Pearl which is a pearlized powder that you can use in a number of different ways on your scrapbook pages. I have also discovered that the heating tool used for heating the embossing powder can also be used for a number of different techniques other then embossing. I can't wait to start experimenting.
Has anyone seen the Nora Robert's films that aired recently on the Lifetime channel? They were fantastic. So if you are craving some more Nora Robert's check out my half.com store I have a decent collection of Nora's books some of which were made into movies by the Lifetime channel.
Here is an example of how to work with Embossing powder:

New Business to Open
Hello everyone,
I have some exiting news. I am officially going to open a scrapbooking business. It is something I have wanted to do for a while and even though I am working on some last minute details the website should be up soon.

I will post more info on this as it becomes available.
Now to my personal life. Lestat is doing fine and adjusting very well to life here at the De La Torre house. He is 3 pounds now and he won't grow anymore so he is going to stay teeny tiny. Jason has also finished writing the sequel to Ancient Rising and is almost done with the editing process, so keep an eye out for news on that.
I am going to start changing up my blog a little to offer some crafting tips as well as my thoughts on a variety of subjects.
I hope everyone out there is doing well and please drop an email and say Hi.

Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year
Well I'm sorry this is late but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. A lot has happened since Halloween. I still haven't found a job which means that money is still tight but at least I seem to have time to get projects done around the house. I've also been supplementing my income by selling stuff on half.com which so far is working out pretty well. I've also created a small store on etsy.com offering my scrapbooking services. check it out when you have a moment.
Jason and I are doing well despite my lack of employment. we are all healthy and enjoying life. We do have a new member of the family that I have neglected to mention.
Ever since I was much younger I had always wanted a little yorkie terrier. In May I was all prepared to buy one from a breeder but then I got laid off and we had to use the money for bills instead. so Jason came up with the idea of me keeping an eye out on all the shelters and rescue organizations in the area to see if I can acquire one that way. so I started checking all the local shelters and rescue organizations almost on a daily basis. Unfortunately the shelters do get yorkies in but rarely, and they go so quick that you really have to be at the right place at the right time. so after months of looking i finally got lucky in October. A shelter in Tampa had one that was already like 5 years old so i drove down there to see if he was still there. Unfortunately when I got there he was still there but he already had to applicants on a waiting list but then they informed me of a yorkie puppy that was surrendered by his owner just 2 days prior that was not on a waiting list.
They had yet to put him on the listing which is why I didn't see him on their website. So i was able to take him home with me for a much smaller fraction of what it would have cost to buy one from a breeder. Jason named him Lestat after the vampire from the Anne Rice books. He was 4 months when we got him and now he is 6 Months. He weights only 3 pounds and he is not getting any bigger.
